HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY!!!!
Welcome to 2015!!!!!!
We are currently in Lake Tahoe. We just saw two different firework shows, but we saw them from our house, so it wasn't the best view.
Hi, Ezra ©®™ here, We are here, in Tahoe to ski! Yesterday the conditions were not amazing, but it was still fun to ski! It was icy, and -100000°C outside. Also, it was very windy and the visibility was not the best. The day before that though, was great, up until 2 o'clock, when it got cold, but the rest of the day was sunny, and pleasurable weather. Skiing is one of my favorite things, and I wait all year for it, so I am very exited to be here in Tahoe!
Hi, Luka©®™ here, following what Ezra said we went skiing yesterday. The first thing that happened when we got to Northstar was that Ezra and I realized that we had left our ski boots at our house (in Tahoe). So, we decided to just rent boots instead of driving 40 minutes to get to the house, pick up the ski boots, and then drive back. I then also realized that I had unfortunately left my ski goggles at the house as well, so I had to use some goggles that looked like, to put it kindly, My little Pony throw up (assuming ponies barf rainbows).
So we hobbled down to the first rental place, which sent us back to another rental place on the other side of Northstar. Once we got there, we filled out some info on the computer that was running windows XP, then we got our boots, and got our skis adjusted and tested. We then got on the lift up the mountain, and eventually got to our favorite runs. To describe the runs we did: cold hands, cold feet, cold snow (Ezra here: as opposed to what? Hot snow? Luka: Yes.). When we felt the need for a break, we got lunch, and did a few more runs before going tubing. The tubing at Northstar is Awesome for 2 Reasons.
1. A pulley drags you (in your tube) up the slope, so you dont have to walk up all the way in ski boots
2. They have a decently sized 6 degree slope shaped like a backwards J that lets you pick up some speed
After that, our bodies were almost frozen solid, so we returned our rentals, and went home.
Thank You for reading our blog post! (If you made it to the end...) And we hope you have great new year, and a happy rest of spring break (NO SCHOOL!!!!! YAY)
